System Builder is our free product selector software, designed to make it easy to put together a system using Crystal Vision products.
Available on this website, this unique step-by-step product selector helps you configure your systems by walking you through a series of screens where you select everything you need. This means you spend less of your valuable time attempting to work out exactly what you need.
So how does it work? You start the selection process by choosing an interface or keying product, in one of three ways. You can enter a Product Code – for example, typing in “DDA” will bring up a list of all modules beginning with these letters. Alternatively you can enter a keyword such as “converter” and all boards with “converter” in their description will be displayed. The third option is to select one of the categories on the left side of the screen. In each case all relevant products are displayed and when you find the product you need, pressing “Select” adds the board to the ‘system’.
If the chosen product can be fitted with sub PCBs you will then be taken to this page, and if a required sub PCB is not selected a warning will be given. The next two screens show frame rear modules – chosen depending on the inputs and outputs and connectors required – and accessories such as control panels and cables. At each stage System Builder only gives the options that are applicable for the currently selected board.
At this point you are given a summary of the chosen board and its configuration, and you can set the quantity required. After all the boards for that ‘system’ have been chosen, frames can be selected and even configured using a wizard which allows you to allocate boards and rear modules to particular slots. The System List contains all the items which have been selected and can be printed, exported to a spreadsheet or even e-mailed to Crystal Vision to provide a quotation.
You can access System Builder in one of two ways. To try it out you can just log in using your e-mail address, but this allows you to design only one system at a time. Alternatively you can apply for an account which will give you full access to the system, including being able to store any number of named jobs on the server and recall them later for modification.
